Ola Group, a ride-hailing and electric mobility company, announced on Thursday that it is entering the electric motorbike market with the release of three models and the development of two more.
The company has also introduced automated warehousing solutions to meet the needs of fast commerce, rebranded its ride-hailing service as Ola Consumer, and announced a collaboration with ONDC. Additionally, Ola stated that it will introduce the first locally created and designed product to the market family of chips under its Krutrim venture by 2026 for Edge, general computing, and AI.
At Ola’s annual launch event, Sankalp 2024, founder Bhavish Aggarwal stated that the firm needed to enter the motorcycle sector since two-thirds of India’s two-wheeler market is now made up of motorcycles.
He stated, “With our futuristic portfolio of products, we are now focused on supercharging the EV penetration through our motorcycles. We have already been successful in accelerating the EV adoption in the scooter segment.”
Aggarwal added, “Ola’s in-house ‘Bharat 4680’ cell and battery pack will be integrated with its own vehicles starting Q1 FY26.” In doing so, the company unveiled its brand-new Gen-3 two-wheeler platform.

In Bengaluru, Ola Food & Grocery on ONDC exceeded 40,000 orders daily in a trial that ended in 2024.

He added Ola Consumer is looking to revolutionize the warehouse space that powers the commerce supply chain with automated storage.
During the following two years, Ola also intends to deploy one lakh 2W EVs.
According to Aggarwal, by 2026 Krutrim will create and manufacture the nation’s first AI silicon chip, specifically designed for demanding AI workloads.
