On Wednesday, Tata Motors announced that it has partnered with Thunderplus Solutions and Delta Electronics India to establish charging infrastructure for its line of electric commercial vehicles (CVs). 250 new fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles would be installed across the nation as part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the parties.
These additional charging stations, which are thoughtfully positioned in and around more than 50 cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Kochi, and others, will greatly expand the current network of 540 commercial vehicle charging stations. stated in a statement by Tata Motors. The business stated that the commercial vehicle major will suggest the best sites and closest dealerships for installing the fast-charging stations based on its knowledge of the commercial EV movement.

According to the statement, Thunderplus Solutions will install and run the required gear, while Delta Electronics will provide it. Commercial EVs are becoming more and more popular for last-mile delivery among several businesses, including e-commerce and parcel/courier services.
According to Vinay Pathak, vice president and business head of SCV & PU at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, “extending the available charging infrastructure on high-use routes will encourage more customers to opt for electric commercial vehicles and improve vehicle uptime, resulting in higher revenues and better profitability, while contributing towards a cleaner, greener environment.”
