Speaking on the fringes of the Made By Google event, Google Mobile Business Vice President Nanda Ramachandran called India a “fantastic growing market” and predicted that the country’s premium smartphone market will surpass many of Google’s other key countries.

According to a top executive on Tuesday, tech giant Google sees India as an interesting market with tremendous development potential in the premium smartphone class.

Speaking outside of the Made By Google event, Google Mobile Business Vice President Nanda Ramachandran called India a “fantastic growing market” and stated that the country’s premium smartphone market is expected to surpass many of Google’s other significant markets.

We think that the premium smartphone market in India will expand at a faster rate than any of the top markets we operate in, and we want to be a major participant in that market, Ramachandran told PTI. India is a tremendous rising market.

In addition, he discussed the company’s dedication to India and said that tailoring its product line to suit regional needs is essential for any successful approach.

India is currently one of our most intriguing footprint countries, and we have our heart set on growing with it. Our portfolio needs to be taken care of first if we are to succeed in India,” Ramachandran remarked.

Given that Google on Monday announced the launch of the Made-in-India Pixel 8 smartphone line, the remarks take on significant importance.

Although no firm plans have been established yet, Maggie Wei, Senior Director of Product Operations at Google, stated that the company is thinking about exporting gadgets manufactured in India.

“We want to expand our production outside the local market, but we also see a lot of potential for it here.We’re just getting started, so it’s more local right now,” she remarked.

Wei revealed that Google is producing through its “two” facilities in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu extremely thrilling places.

Google made its debut in the foldable smartphone market on Tuesday with the release of the Pixel 9 series, which comes nearly eight years after the company’s original Pixel smartphone launch.

Additionally, the Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 were revealed.

Google has chosen the retail method in an attempt to improve Pixel smartphone accessibility for Indian users and grow its local retail presence.

Now, more than 150 Croma and Reliance Retail locations in 15 Indian cities will carry Pixel goods.

Additionally, it revealed the opening of three Google-owned walk-in centers in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi in collaboration with F1 Info Solutions and Services Private Limited, Flipkart’s service division.

Additionally, Google revealed a price drop for its previous generation of Pixel devices smartphones.
