Takeuchi stated that Maruti Suzuki’s present export levels, which have tripled over the past four years, are just the beginning and that there is no reason why India shouldn’t aspire for a large portion of world trade. Within the following six years, the corporation hopes to triple its present export figures once more.

Takeuchi emphasized that Maruti Suzuki has already begun shipping automobiles back to Japan, noting that the recent shipment of more than 1,600 Fronx SUVs from Gujarat’s Pipavav port is a noteworthy achievement. The MSI lineup’s first SUV to be introduced in Japan is the Fronx.

MSI is dedicated to implementing various solutions in the home market to minimize carbon emissions. This covers not just powerful hybrid and electric vehicles but also automobiles that run on hydrogen and biofuels. Takeuchi stated that the business intends to launch a number of high-spec electric vehicles, the first of which will be a 500 km range car powered by a 60 kWh battery.

Maruti Suzuki will export these cutting-edge EVs to markets like Europe and Japan and provide a full suite of after-sales support services in an effort to further increase customer confidence. Furthermore, the organization is investigating several powertrain alternatives, including hydrogen and biofuels, in an effort to reduce oil usage and greenhouse gas emissions.

Takeuchi also emphasized the potential of biofuels, pointing out that India could easily take the lead in this field globally given its abundance of natural resources. He underlined that deep localization and a reduction in reliance on imported parts are essential for generating significant employment and propelling India’s development into a developed country.
