On Wednesday, June 19, Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met with a group of economists to discuss the pre-budget. The discussions took place in advance of the impending full-year budget for the current fiscal year being presented in Parliament next month.

Although the date of the Union Budget presentation has not been officially announced, media reports have indicated that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will submit the budget during the first week of July, coinciding with the start of the Parliament’s Monsoon Session. Sources state that the Monsoon Session will start on July 22. It is expected that the session will last until August 9.
