On May 7, voters in 93 parliamentary constituencies spread across 11 states and Union Territories will cast ballots in the third round of the Lok Sabha elections in order to choose the next administration.
More than 280 constituencies will have held elections by Tuesday night, which means that more than half of the total seats in It will have been decided by the Lok Sabha. Thus, during the course of the final four phases, 263 seats will be polled.
On Tuesday, the elections in the state of Gujarat, the union territories of Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu will be concluded in a single phase.

Four in Assam, five in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, eight in Madhya Pradesh, eleven in Maharashtra, ten in Uttar Pradesh, and four in West Bengal are among the other constituencies that will vote in the third phase.
Important groups to watch out for

Tuesday’s elections will determine the outcome of two significant seats: Gandhinagar in Gujarat, where Home Minister Amit Shah is running against Congressman Sonal Ramanbhai Patel, and Baramati in Maharashtra.

Sunetra Pawar, the wife of his nephew Ajit Pawar, is being challenged by Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule.
In Madhya Pradesh, Vidisha and Guna are two more seats to watch. While Jyotiraditya Scindia filed his candidacy from Guna against Congressman Rao Yadavendra Singh, the BJP has nominated former MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan from Vidisha against Congress candidate Bhanu Pratap Sharma.
Notable seats include Dharwad in Bihar (BJP’s Pralhad Joshi against INC’s Vinod Asooti), Haveri in Karnataka (BJP’s Basavraj Bommai against INC’s Anand Swamy Gaddadevarmath), and Dhubri in Assam (NDA’s Badruddin Ajmal against INDIA’s Rakibul Hassan).
Expectations regarding voter turnout. The third phase begins with conjecture regarding the meaning of the decline in first two phases’ voter turnout.

.. Less than 70% of voters cast ballots in the 102 seats that were used for the first phase of voting in 2019. In the second phase, 66.71% of the 88 seats saw voting. 69.64% of voters cast ballots in 83 of these 88 seats in 2019 (five Assamese seats underwent delimitation and are not included in the comparison).
Nearly 97 crore voters will participate in the seven phases of the 18th Lok Sabha elections, which will take place between April 19 and June 1, according to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar’s announcement on March 16. Twelve days prior to the present House’s term ending, on June 4, the results will be announced.

Subsequently, there are five phases for Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir; four phases for Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha; three phases for Assam and Chhattisgarh; and two phases for Karnataka, Manipur, Rajasthan, and Tripura.
